Justin Cuellar of Tulare Western was named West Yosemite League MVP this season.

The respective coaches of the WYL named Cuellar the most valuable player of the 2024 WYL.

In 15 league games, Cuellar posted a .277 batting average with 14 runs, six RBIs, four doubles and a triple. But the future UCLA Bruin also made a splash on the mound as one of the state's best strikeout pitchers.

During his WYL play, Cuellar posted a record of 7-0 with a 1.28 ERA and 81 strikeouts. Opposing league hitters batted just .154 against the right-handed Cuellar. He allowed just eight earned runs on 24 hits during the WYL season.

Cuellar capped his high school career with a school-record 373 strikeouts.

Noah Gonzales of Hanford was named WYL Pitcher of the Year.

Lemoore won the 2024 WYL championship last season with a record of 12-3. Tulare finished second in the league's final standings at 11-4.
