The 2024 World Junior Hockey Summer Showcase will be held July 26-August 3 at USA Hockey Arena Plymouth, Michigan, and two Boston Bruins junior players will be on Team USA. Chris Pelosi and Beckett Hendrickson, who were selected in the Bruins' 2023 draft and played part of the 2023-24 season in the USHL with the Sioux Falls Stampede, have been invited to the event, which will serve as an evaluation for athletes seeking to join their respective national teams for the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship, which will be held December 26, 2024, to January 5, 2025 in Ottawa, Ontario.

USA Hockey has invited 46 hockey players, including 25 forwards, to participate in the show, which includes daily training sessions and nine international games. Other forwards include 2023 first-round draft picks Ryan Leonard (8th overall), Oliver Moore (19th overall) and Gabe Perreault (23rd overall). Pelosi was selected in the third round with the 92nd pick and played center for the Stampede for two seasons. In 99 games, the 6-foot-1, 1,900-pound forward has totaled 34 goals and 40 assists. The Sewell, New Jersey native has committed to Quinnipiac University for the 2024-25 season and turned 19 in March.

Hendrickson was Pelosi's linemate at times in 43 games this season, totaling 18 goals and 25 assists before being traded to the Dubuque Fighting Saints, where he scored nine goals with 21 assists in 16 games. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound forward also recorded seven points in 11 playoff games. The Minnesota native was the 124th overall draft pick in 2023. Hendrickson has committed to his home state, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, for the 2024-25 season and will turn 19 on June 24.
