Ohio State has found a new head baseball coach in Justin Haire, who has coached for Campbell since 2008. He has signed a five-year contract with the Buckeyes. The hire came just a week after former head coach Bill Mosiello resigned to return to TCU.

“We are thrilled to welcome Justin Haire and his family to Ohio State to lead our baseball program into a new era,” said new athletic director Ross Bjork. “We have had tremendous interest in this position from successful coaches across the country, so it has been exciting to follow this search. Coach Haire's successful head coaching career and track record in the NCAA tournament caught our attention, and his deep roots in Ohio are an added bonus.”

“We believe Ohio State baseball can be a Big Ten contender and go deep in the NCAA Tournament under Justin's leadership, and we're excited to have him start here in Columbus. Congratulations to Justin, Lindsey, Jackson, Parker, Max and Anne Marie and welcome to the Buckeye family.”

Haire has led Campbell to five NCAA regional championships since 2015, when he became head coach, and has amassed 317 wins during that time. He has been named Big South Coach of the Year four times in 10 seasons and won five regular-season conference titles and five conference tournament titles.

“I am incredibly honored and excited to be named head coach of the Ohio State University baseball team,” said Haire. “As a native Ohioan, this opportunity is especially meaningful to me. We look forward to building a championship-level program at Ohio State University, where the commitment to excellence in both athletics and academics is unparalleled. The passion and pride of Buckeye Nation is unmatched, and we are committed to contributing to the success and growth of the Ohio State University baseball team.”

Prior to Campbell, Haire served as an assistant at Ouachita Baptist University for four years and as pitching coach at Sterling College for one season.
