Lisandro Martinez's compilation of Argentina's win over Canada goes viral and Man Utd fans are very excited

He is back in top form.

A compilation of Lisandro Martinez's performance in Argentina's opening match at the Copa America has gone viral and Manchester United fans can't wait for the season to start.

Argentina got off to a perfect start in the Copa America, beating Canada 2-0 to top the group thanks to goals from Lautaro Martinez and Julian Alvarez.

However, the match was not without controversy, as the second half was postponed due to the Argentine players being significantly late on the pitch.

Newly appointed Canadian coach Jesse Marsch was not happy with the situation, as both goals came after half-time, and demanded that Argentina be punished for their antics.

“They should be punished for being 20 minutes late for the second half,” said the former Leeds head coach.

“What time were they? You? 20 minutes? 30? I don't know. It was a long time. But they had that time to prepare how they wanted to play against us in the second half. If we had known beforehand that we had 10 more minutes, we could have prepared better.”

Controversies aside, it was an impressive performance from the World Cup winner, with Lionel Messi looking fitter than ever and Man United defender Lisandro Martinez putting in a great performance.

Martinez has had an injury-plagued season at Old Trafford, but when available he continues to be the bright spot in Erik ten Hag's defense.

The 26-year-old only made 11 Premier League appearances last season but managed to get fit again by the end of last season.

Martinez started the FA Cup final victory over Manchester City and looks set to carry the winning goal into the national team as Argentina now aims for one trophy after another in international tournaments.

The defender's form and fitness will be crucial for United at left-back next season, especially as speculation grows that the club will be unable to sign Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
