After a busy transfer period, Ole Miss basketball head coach Chris Beard is fully focused on recruiting. The Rebels have landed their second high-profile new addition for the Class of 2025.

Four-star forward Tylis Jordan announced he has committed to Ole Miss, choosing the Rebels over Alabama, Auburn, Georgia Tech, LSU and Tennessee. Jordan is the No. 7 power forward and 24th-best prospect in the nation, according to On3.

Jordan stands 6'1″ and weighs 215 pounds. He spoke to On3 about his decision to play for Chris Beard's Ole Miss team.

“I felt like Ole Miss was the right choice because Coach Beard has a great culture and tradition of success there and helps shape all the programs he's been involved with. I trusted the coaching staff because they stayed consistent throughout and always made their vision and plans for me clear. I felt like this plan would take me to the next level.”

The 2025 recruiting class for college basketball teams is just beginning, but with the signing of Tylis Jordan, Ole Miss is now ranked No. 1 in 247Sports' 2025 team recruiting rankings.

The Rebels have only two committed players: Jordan and shooting guard Patton Pinkins, both four-star players. According to 247Sports, Jordan and Pinkins were ranked among the top 100 and top 20 players at their positions.

Head coach Chris Beard has been a top recruiter at previous schools. The class of 2025 marks the first time Beard has completed a full cycle to recruit future talent since arriving at Oxford. After a promising transfer portal class in 2024, he will now look to take the program to a new level in 2024.
