It was a bad week for Biden's border crisis deniers.

First, the Harford County Sheriff's Office in Maryland announced that it had made an arrest in connection with the murder of mother of five Rachel Morin. The suspect, Victor Martinez-Hernandez, entered the United States illegally in February 2023 and, like millions of other migrants under President Joe Biden, was never arrested.

Then in New York, a migrant from Ecuador, Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, was arrested after allegedly raping a 13-year-old girl at knifepoint. Inga-Landi was arrested by Border Patrol on June 25, 2021, while crossing the border illegally with his son, but he was released into the country, which is Biden's policy. Inga-Landi was ordered to leave the country by an immigration judge on February 2, 2022, but Biden's Immigration and Customs Enforcement never attempted to arrest Inga-Landi, which is also Biden's policy.

Then, in Houston, two illegal immigrants from Venezuela were arrested after the rape and murder of a 12-year-old girl. The two migrants crossed the border illegally, albeit separately, and both were released into the country, which is Biden's policy. Both migrants were temporarily placed in ICE's Alternative to Detention program, the same flawed program supported by Lanford-Mayorkas legislation.

Finally, in Iowa, another illegal immigrant, this time from Honduras, pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl. The migrant, Junior Manuel Dubon Benitez, was arrested after illegally crossing the southern border near Hidalgo, Texas, in April 2022. He was also released into the country, which is Biden's policy.

Biden and his open-border defenders can claim all they want that past studies show that immigrants commit fewer crimes than American-born people. But that doesn't change the fact that every crime an illegal immigrant commits could have been prevented by enforcing our country's existing immigration laws. Moreover, past studies of immigrant populations are no match for the unchecked wave of immigration that Biden is currently allowing into the country.

Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler summed up the frustration of many residents over Biden's border crisis when he said after announcing Martinez-Hernandez's arrest: “We are 1,800 miles away, here in Harford County, we are 1,800 miles from the southern border. American citizens are not safe because of failed immigration policies.”

Exactly. Biden has failed to secure the southern border, and the only way to secure the border and end the Biden migrant crime wave is to put a new president in the White House.
