At Samsung's upcoming Unpacked event in July, we're eagerly awaiting the debut of the new Galaxy Buds 3 alongside the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the next-gen Galaxy Watch 7. Previous leaks suggested that the Galaxy Buds 3 could borrow design cues from Apple's AirPods, and it seems we've just caught our first glimpse of the new earbuds.

Leaked images show Galaxy Buds 3 with a sleek new design

Images leaked by a case maker on Coupang (translated source), a leading e-commerce site in South Korea, appear to show the official design of the Galaxy Buds 3. And you might notice that the Galaxy Buds 3 look completely different from their predecessors.

First, the long-rumored switch to a stem design seems to have been confirmed once again. Stem earbuds are often immediately associated with Apple's design, as the original AirPods presaged that look. However, the Galaxy Buds 3 in these leaked images appear noticeably different. The stem has a more angular design than Apple's products, and the silver color makes them stand out even more.

In the leaked images, the Galaxy Buds 3 sport a sleek grey and silver finish that catches the eye. The charging case has been redesigned by changing the horizontal orientation to a vertical one and now features a transparent lid, giving it a modern and futuristic look.

As for technical improvements, Samsung seems ready to include Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) as a standard feature in its Buds 3 series. Additionally, both earbuds are expected to support Ultra High Quality Sound, although full compatibility with this feature might be limited to Samsung phones.

According to a previous leak, the Pro version is said to offer up to 7 hours of playtime with ANC off and 6 hours with ANC on. As for the regular Buds 3, they could support around 6 hours of playback time with ANC off and 5 hours with ANC on.

Additionally, the charging case could extend the total usage time up to 24 hours. Both models are likely to have an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance.

Earlier this week, Leaked box images of the Galaxy Buds 3 caused some concern among fans as the design was unattractive to say the least. Many questioned the authenticity of this leak as the product in the image looked more like a cheap knockoff than an authentic Samsung product. So it's reassuring to see that other images are now emerging with a much improved design.
