Newly minted five-star player Niko Bundalo is now on UNC's basketball wish list for 2025, the smooth striker from Western Reserve Academy (Ohio) officially announced on social media on Friday.

Bundalo is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound high school senior who is ranked No. 24 overall in the 247Sports 2025 Composite, No. 8 among power forwards and No. 1 in Ohio. His versatility is unmatched, as he displays instincts like a guard and a smooth long-range shot, as well as a plethora of post moves.

And his admitted Tar heel This fan base should improve UNC basketball head coach Hubert Davis' chances of landing the coveted stretch-four candidate.

“One offer I really want is UNC,” Bundalo told On3’s Jamie Shaw last summer, before he’d even spoken to the Chapel Hill staff. “I grew up a fan of theirs…

“My mom is from Chicago. When she came to the U.S., she grew up watching Michael Jordan. When I was watching Michael Jordan and all the documentaries and his old highlights, UNC always came up in conversation. So she started liking UNC and so did I, and that school was the one I kept eyeing throughout my childhood.”

With the addition of Niko Bundalo to the list, the number of UNC basketball players who have received offers for 2025 rises to 16, including six new candidates since the end of May. All are still undecided about their recruitment, and all but one, five-star winger Isiah Harwell of Wasatch Academy (Utah), have not yet knocked the Tar Heels out of the running.
