TCU Volleyball has strengthened its front line for the upcoming 2024 season, securing the commitment of former West Virginia opposite hitter Melanie McGann. McGann is a 6-foot-3 hitter from Keller, Texas, who spent the last two seasons with the Mountaineers, appearing in 39 games during that time. McGann emerged in her freshman season in 2022, recording 103 sets in 30 games and finishing with 139 kills and 91 blocks.

McGann played in 12 games in her sophomore season in 2023, recording 34 kills and 15 blocks. The Horned Frogs are looking to replace several front-row hitters, including Audrey Nalls and Julia Adams, who each rank in the top 10 in kills at TCU. The Horned Frogs are also looking to replace middle blocker Bri Green and outside hitter Taylor Raiola. McGann is the second notable transfer added this offseason from the Horned Frogs, who signed former Oregon outside hitter Becca Kelley.
