Police believe the death in the park on the Loxahatchee River was caused by drowning.


JUPITER – A man has died after being found floating in the water near Jupiter Inlet Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Investigators did not disclose the man's name, age or place of residence.

Jupiter officers responded to Dubois Park around 2 p.m. after receiving reports of a person in the water. Two passersby pulled the man from the waterway along the Loxahatchee River. Paramedics from the Palm Beach County Fire Department arrived on scene and immediately began rescue efforts.

The man was taken to Jupiter Medical Center, where doctors pronounced him dead. Jupiter police suspect drowning, a police spokesman said.
