AUSTIN (KXAN) – EA Sports has released the rankings of the top 100 players in the upcoming video game “College Football 25,” and the Texas Longhorns’ list isn’t as long as you might think.

Quarterback Quinn Ewers and offensive lineman Kelvin Banks Jr. lead the Longhorns in the top 100. Overall, Banks ranks highest at 13th with a 94 and Ewers ranks 27th with a 92. Banks' highest stats are Awareness at 96 and Strength at 92, while Ewers has an Awareness score of 97 and a Speed score of 81. EA Sports did not release position-specific stats (such as arm strength for quarterbacks) when releasing the top 100.

Position-wise, Ewers is the third-best quarterback overall, behind Georgia's Carson Beck and Colorado's Shadeur Sanders. Banks is the second left tackle.

Texas will see one of the game's highest-rated players in Week 2 of the season. Michigan cornerback Will Johnson is one of three players with a 96 overall rating to top the list. Ewers and what is expected to be a dynamic offense will have to figure out how to limit Johnson's impact on Sept. 7 when the teams meet in Ann Arbor. The other players with 96 ratings are Louisiana State left tackle Will Campbell and Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II.
