Recently, Sonnen spoke again on his YouTube channel “Bad Guy Inc” about what is probably the most anticipated duel of the year. He began to question whether Chandler was really focused on fighting the Irishman. Not long ago, “Mystic Mike” took the liberty of Islam Makhachev for a fight. Although the LW Champion did not consider “Iron” worthy of a fight, the call attracted quite a bit of attention.

Sonnen said“Is Chandler totally fixated on McGregor? And is he trying to get the fight by pretending he wants a different fight? Or does he know something? And how about option C? I don't think those two are on the same wavelength. I don't think they ever were.” He also revealed that Chandler might know something McGregor doesn't, and that's exactly why the former Bellator champion was demanding a fight against everyone.

“The Bad Guy” pointed out that Chandler is ready to fight regardless of the number of rounds, weight class, etc. However, the same could not be said for “The Notorious.” And all arrows pointed to the fighters and the MMA promotion not being in alignment. He continued:“…had a time with Conor McGregor where he said, 'I'm in, too.' And Conor even did parodies because he wasn't getting what he wanted from the organization, and the organization sat back and told them both, 'Don't listen to either of them. We'll let you know when the fight is happening.' Like those three never agreed.”

Misunderstandings and differing statements have plagued this match from the beginning. There were moments when White and McGregor seemed to disagree, while Chandler was simply caught in the crossfire and had nothing to do. All of that cleared up when the fight was announced for UFC 303. Now, after the cancellation, it seems like everything is back to square one.

Needless to say, combat sports fans are starting to lose their faith in the fight between “The Notorious” and “Iron.” At the UFC 303 press conference, even the UFC boss refused to talk about McGregor, claiming only that the former champion was not ready. Surprisingly, Sonnen also had a similar opinion about McGregor's return.

Will “The Notorious” return to fight “Iron”?

In a recent tweet, Chandler explained that he was offered a fight against Makhachev in October. However, that didn't stop him from including the “Mystic Mac.” He called the Irishman and told him that he wanted to fight him at the Sphere if his pinky was fully healed by September. Sonnen, however, seemed to have his doubts.

In a previous chat in his YouTube talk showsaid 'The American Gangster'“And the fact that his opponent Michael Chandler is now being publicly offered various fights gives us the proof we need. Reality and McGregor's statement are not the same.” Of course, this wasn’t the only time Sonnen expressed his doubts about McGregor’s return.
