Today, Samsung released the third One UI 6 Watch beta update for the Galaxy Watch 6 series. The South Korean company has now released the Galaxy Watch 5 One UI 6 Watch Beta 2 update in its home country.

Galaxy Watch 5 One UI 6 Watch Beta 2 update released in South Korea

Samsung has released the second One UI 6 Watch beta update for the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

The new update contains the firmware version ending ZXG3 and has a download size of 299.45 MB. It also includes the July 2024 security patch, making it the first smartwatch to receive the latest security update.

According to the changelog, Samsung has fixed several bugs and performance issues that were noticed in the first beta update of the One UI 6 Watch.

The new update brings better system stabilization and optimization. Samsung has also improved power consumption and thus increased the battery life of the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.

According to Samsung, the app launch speed and overall app usage speed have also been improved. Some changes have also been made to resolve network connection issues. However, there is a bug that prevents the AoD indicator from turning off even when the watch is not being worn. However, this bug has not been fixed.

Samsung may release two or three more One UI 6 Watch beta updates for the Galaxy Watch 5 series before rolling out the stable update.
