Butner Public Safety

On June 25, PSO M. Dominguez Tehron issued a summons to Deandre Farrington, 41, of Durham, for theft by price alteration and petty theft. Farrington was assigned a court date and ordered to appear in court.

On June 27, PSO M. Dominguez arrested Stephanie Ann Adcock, 40, of Bahama, on outstanding warrants for burglary and three counts of theft. Adcock was given a $1,500 bond by Judge HG Herring Jr. and was taken to the Granville County Detention Center.

On June 27, PSO JA Mennella arrested Jessica Dawn Broyles, age 29, of Oxford and charged her with unlawful possession of Schedule I drugs, unlawful possession of Schedule II drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a license. Broyles was given a $7,000 bond by Judge HG Herring Jr. and was taken to the Granville County Detention Center.

On June 27, PSO AH Creech arrested Dustin Tyler Grissom, age 30, of Stem, for failure to appear in court. Grissom was given a $1,000 bond by Judge HG Herring Jr. and taken to the Granville County Detention Center.

On June 28, Sergeant BT Lomena arrested Marcus Cofield, 23, of Raleigh and charged him with illegal possession of a firearm, illegal fleeing in a motor vehicle, careless and reckless driving, speeding, driving without a license, simple possession of marijuana, driving left of center, and dangerous running of the yellow line. Cofield was given a $60,000 bond by Judge CF Knott and was transported to the Granville County Detention Center.

On June 28, PSO MB Butler served Dewayne Keith Herndon, 56, of Butner, with a summons for violation of compulsory school attendance. Herndon was assigned a court date and ordered to appear in court.

On June 28, PSO MB Butler served Andrew Alston, 52, of Butner, with a summons for violation of compulsory school attendance. Alston was assigned a court date and ordered to appear in court.

On June 28, PSO MB Butler arrested Johnnel Omar Carroll, 26, of Oxford, on an outstanding warrant. Carroll was given $250 bail by Judge AK Kearney and transported to the Granville County Detention Center.

On June 30, an attack was reported on 24th Street. A violent fight broke out between several people.

On July 1, PSO JA Mennella arrested Janish Imani Rollins, 22, of Durham, for failure to appear. Rollins was given a $2,500 bond by Judge RR Roberts Jr. and taken to the Granville County Detention Center.

On July 1, property damage was reported on Central Avenue. The suspect(s) had sprayed graffiti on the property.

Butner Public Safety recommends that everyone keep their parked vehicles locked.

Creedmoor Police Department

March 6: Christopher James Wilkins, 37, of Creedmoor was suspected of theft of pharmaceutical drugs. Kelly Wilkins was also listed as a suspect.

On July 3, a warrant was issued for the arrest of 59-year-old John Fitzgerald Weeks of Wake Forest for child abuse and he was taken into custody.

On July 3, Melquis Eliud Rivera Valle, 43, of Creedmoor, was served with an arrest warrant for theft of a motor vehicle and obtaining property by false pretense. Valle was given a $40,000 bond by Judge R. Roberts and was incarcerated in the Granville County Detention Center.

Granville County Sheriff's Office

On July 6, Michael Robert Burleson, 40, of Satellite Beach, FL, was arrested for having a vehicle, dwelling or place with a controlled substance in his possession and bail was set at $20,000. He was also charged with possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Burleson was charged with two counts of trafficking marijuana and bail was set at $300,000.

On July 5, Travis Eugene Hester, 34, of Creedmoor was charged with distribution of obscenity and held on $20,000 bail.

On July 5, Jeffery Gideon Sanders, 50, of Creedmoor, was charged with uttering threats and held on $2,000 bail.

On July 8, Teresa Kinyon Pointer, 62, of Oxford, was charged with a misdemeanor count of probation violation and held on $2,500 bail.

Pointer posted bail and was released on July 8.

On July 8, Michael David Hancock, 27, of Oxford, was charged with assault on a female and bail was set at $2,500. Hancock posted bail and was released on July 9.

On July 8, Shi Ming Jtang, 40, of Brooklyn, NY, was charged with conspiracy to obtain property by false pretenses (held on $40,000 bail), impersonation of a public official, conspiracy to obtain property by false pretenses (held on $80,000 bail), and extortion.

On July 8, 23-year-old James Wilford Goodine of Oxford was charged with assault on a female and sentenced to $500 bail.

On July 9, Christopher G. Watkins, 35, of Oxford, was charged with assault on a female and held on $3,000 bail.

On July 9, Joshua Keron Evans, 32, of Oxford, was charged with trespassing, uttering threats, cyberstalking, stalking and violating a domestic violence protection order. He was held on bail of $5,000.

July 9: Antwan Shy'Quan Majors, 25, of Oxford was charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and released on $20,000 bail. Majors posted bail and was released on July 9.

On July 9, Anthony Shane Workman, 24, of Franklinton, was charged with probation violation. No bail was listed in the arrest report.
